Training on Rehabilitation and Reintegration of Former Combatants

Armed conflicts, violent insurgencies, civil wars, and other forms of organized violence leave lasting impacts on individuals, communities, institutions, and national development. One of the most critical challenges in post-conflict recovery and peacebuilding is the successful rehabilitation and reintegration of former combatants into civilian society. Without effective reintegration processes, former combatants may face social exclusion, unemployment, stigma, trauma, insecurity, and limited opportunities, increasing the risk of recidivism, renewed violence, and long-term instability.
