Governments must now negotiate complex bilateral, regional, and multilateral trade agreements while balancing economic openness, industrial development, national sovereignty, investment attraction, and domestic economic protection.

For emerging economies in Africa and the MENA region, the challenge is particularly significant. Policymakers and trade negotiators must protect infant industries, support local manufacturing, strengthen regional integration, and maintain compliance with international trade frameworks such as the World Trade Organization (WTO) and the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA).

This course provides advanced practical and strategic training in economic diplomacy and international trade law.
